component: "readings and assignments"
toggle
Hi!
I am currently creating a new activity (called "Sour salts? The pH of salt solutions") and I´m not sure about the function of the page component mentioned above.
I would have guessed I put an assignment instruction onto the component "class report", including the request that students upload their work onto their group folder (Did I understand correctly that the group folders are accessible for the students to upload their things?)

So what is "reading and assignments" good for? Uploading further texts and material for the students to look at? Or does it also have an uploading function for the kids?

thanks,
Lina Neuner

If you want to provide written materials (files for the students to download) then use the "reading and assignment" component. Students can't upload files there. To enable it, you should upload files in the folders located in the about page. For example if you want to provide a text to read on the page "Some theory (I): Neutralization reactions", you should upload the file in the folder named "Page 3" in the readings and assignment component on the "About" page.

The "Class report" components are places where the students can write. The rationale behind is that we want to stimulate classroom discussion and reporting. So after gathering data you might arrange a discussion on the results and have the students write a class report.

Assignments can be posted on box above the class report. If they require: a complex description; forms to fill-in; a spreadsheet model to to use for what-if; etc. they can refer to files uploaded in the "reading and assignment" component.

Radiation is the term which is frequently used in the subject of chemistry as this is related to the dissertation proofreading service atomic particles and their energies. These are electromagnetic waves which are high energy particles that cause ionization.
