Conservation of energy in circuits R and C
Can energy be conserved in electric circuits? Can energy be conserved in electric circuits?

Can energy be conserved in an electric circuit, made of components like power sources, resistors or capacitors?

To answer this question, we will construct simple DC (direct current) resistive circuits and we will measure resistance and voltage difference at the ends of the components with NetLab (a remote lab for experiments with electrical circuits).

Measurements will be compared with calculated theoretical values.

Using the collected data we will calculate: the energy components of the single elements; the total component of supplied energy and wasted/absorbed energy.

Finally we will analyse the energy balance in the circuit.

Look at the NetLab handbook (http://netlab.unisa.edu.au/guide/guide.xhtml) and try to use it (http://netlab.unisa.edu.au/launch.xhtml)
